Environmentally and socially we are in the midst of a very critical time.  Natural ecosystems are being degraded, collapsing and being lost at an increasing rate;  hundred of millions of people are living with no recourse to the basic necessities of food, clean water, housing, and education; species are becoming extinct at an unprecedented rate; and vast amounts of money and resources being spent to support militarism, wars & conflicts.  We see increasing consumption and population growth and the planet's carrying capacity to sustain life being severely compromised.  We have already overshot planet's biocapacity by 20% and would need 5 planets, if  everyone on this planet was to live an American lifestyle in terms of consumption and resource use.

At World Centric we want to raise awareness of these issues facing us and also awareness of personal choices and how they impact our world.  The values we hold and promote, what we believe in, and our every day actions all create the state of the world we live in.  With increased awareness we hope that we can move from a egocentric and ethnocentric way of thinking and acting into a "worldcentric" way of being, which takes the welfare of all the people and the planet into consideration.  

Continuing with our current path of consumption, world inequities and economic growth models, just pushes us  closer to the critical  juncture,  where the planet's natural and human social support systems stop functioning, leading to major catastrophes both ecologically and socially.   We hope you can join us to create a world of sustainability and equality for all.  A better world is possible and it is up to us to create it.

We are working to:

• Raise public awareness about the unbalanced state of our world - specifically environmental destruction and the growing social & economic disparities. 

• Raise awareness of ourselves as "global citizens" and the impact of our choices and actions on the well-being and health of all the world’s peoples and environments.

• To actively participate in the in the creation of self-reliant local community networks and sustainable and equitable businesses providing viable alternatives to the market based material culture.

We are currently not tax-exempt, but are working on getting tax-exempt status.
