Sindyanna of Galilee is Fair Trade cooperative administered by Palestinian
and Israeli women
specializing in the production and marketing of organic extra virgin,
cold pressed olive oil; olive oil soap; Za'atar spice and carob syrup.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2006, Sindyanna endeavors to help sustain
Arab agriculture, secure Arab lands from confiscation and gain a fair
return to Arab farmers. Sindyanna is certified as a producer of
organic olive oil by the Bio-Organic Agriculture Association and certified
as Fair Trade cooperative by the International Fair Trade Association.

Sindyanna is led by women and the staff
consists of Arab and Jewish women who believe in a future of peace and
prosperity for all people. They combine commercial
activity with community work to futher the goals of land preservation, environmental
quality, women's empowerment and women's labor rights. Palestinian workers and farmers in the Occupied
Territories are today in enormous difficulties and Sindyanna has put great
effort into buying West Bank products with the aim of helping their economy.
