We follow certain guidelines for choosing products to carry in the online store and work only with suppliers and importers who are committed to social equality and environmental sustainability.  Primarily, we select products which are normally used for everyday consumption and are also produced sustainably and socially equitably.  

Specifically we will only carry products which: 

• Are primarily used for everyday consumption

• Are fairly traded, sweat-free and/or are produced socially responsibly

• Are sustainably produced and manufactured - organically grown, contain post-consumer recycled content, easily biodegrade, and/or created with sustainable materials

• Reduce environmental impact and/or conserve energy & resources

• Educate and create awareness of the social and environmental issues

• Are hand made by artisans and keep alive cultural traditions and practices

• Are made/produced locally, using local resources and support the local community and businesses
