These Seventh Generation napkins are made from 100% recycled, 90% minimum post-consumer waste paper from recycled newspapers, phone books and cardboard.  They are brown in color, and are unbleached (no chlorine or chlorine derivates are used). 

If every household in the U.S. replaced just one 500 count package of virgin fiber napkins with 100% recycled ones, it would save:

• 3.1 million trees
• 8.2 million cubic feet of landfill space, equal to over 12,200 full garbage trucks
• 1.1 billion gallons of water, a year’s supply for 9,000 families of four
