Raising awareness of compostable disposables made from
readily renewable resources like sugarcane, corn & potato and bringing to market a
range of compostable & biodegradable food service disposable and packaging products for use
in schools, companies, cafeterias, restaurants etc.

Sustainable and equitable products, including
biocompostables for everyday consumption choices. Fair trade and environmental products which
minimize social & economic inequalities and reduce the impact of our
consumption on
the environment.
Film
& Speaker Series
Weekly
film series about a wide range of issues
ignored by the mainstream media - social/economic injustice, environmental
destruction, consumption, trade policies, third world debt, sustainable
alternatives etc., together with guest speakers from progressive
organizations in the area (Global Exchange, IDEX, International
Forum on Globalization, etc.) to further expand our understanding of the
issues presented in the films.
Courses
Regular offering of
discussion courses developed by NorthWest Earth Institute to examine
personal values and habits, their impact on the planet and to
provide a supportive environment for personal change, if
desired.

Guide
A
guide highlighting the environmental and social impacts of our consumer
choices on the planet together with recommendations for sustainable
alternatives and their availability in the local area.
